Tex Mex is mistaken…you specifically CAN get on a cruise without a passport. Passports will not be required for sea travel until June 1, 2009…and even then, "loop" trips beginning and ending in the same port will be exempted from needing passports. Some cruise lines like passengers to have passports, so you should call and ask your cruise line’s policy.
